Capital Park Projects

Following are the Township Parks & Recreation Department Capital Projects, funded by grants, donations, and recreation fees. 

Comprehensive Recreation, Parks & Open Space Plan Update
Grants & Private Contributions: $37,500
Improvements: Updated plan to acquire and develop parks and open space, and enhance recreation programs for the community.  WOrk also includes an updated master plan for Stony Ridge Park and revisions to the park ordinance, SALDO Section 615 and 402 in regard to land dedication and fee-in-lieu 

Historic Huston Mill
Grants & Private Contributions: $765,000
Improvements: Phase 1 stabilization of the walls and interior framing, minor stream bank stabilization 

Paul Walters Memorial Park
Grants & Private Contributions: $350,000 
$400,000 in-kind labor donation
Improvements: New playground, pavilion, parking lot, seating, small inner-loop walking trail, plants and trees 

Potteiger Park
Grants & Private Funding: $75,000
Improvements: New playground, pavilion, paved walking trail, seating, bike rack, and fencing 

TreeVitalize for Stony Ridge Park & Willow Mill Park
Grants & Private Funding: $3,500
Improvements: 25 trees at Willow Mill Park, 2 in New Kingstown, 13 at Stony Ridge Park

Vincent DiFilippo Nature Preserve
Grants & Private Funding: $62,600
Improvements: Paved entry drive, stone parking lot, trail improvements, interpretive signs, seating
