Comprehensive Recreation, Park and Open Space Plan Update

Silver Spring Township was awarded a grant in the amount of $37,500 from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to update the 2005 Comprehensive Recreation, Park and Open Space Plan. This plan will supplement the Township’s municipal comprehensive plan and also includes ordinance revisions and an update of the Stony Ridge Park Master Plan (last updated in 2003).

The Township has established a 16-member Study Committee to work with consultants Yost Strodoski Mears (YSM), Toole Recreation Planning, and Ann Hutchinson (Land Use Planner for Natural Lands Trust) to develop and submit a recommended Comprehensive Recreation, Park and Open Space Plan. The plan will set forth goals for park, recreation services and open space in Silver Spring Township. We have provided survey results and meeting minutes below.
