The Silver Spring Township Police Department participates in the Cumberland County Special Response Team (SRT). This team consists of highly trained police officers from multiple agencies throughout Cumberland County.
The officers of SRT are called in to handle high risk entry situations such as barricaded gunmen, felony warrant services, and hostage situations.
