Planning Commission

The Planning Commission (PC) was formed in 1960 and is appointed by the Board of Supervisors, to provide the Board with non-binding advisory opinions concerning, among other things, commercial and residential subdivision, land development and conditional use applications filed with the Township. The PC makes recommendations to plan and guide growth, insuring that development occurs in a manner as prescribed by the Township Comprehensive Land Use Plan, in additional to making recommendations to the Board of Supervisors on all subdivision and land development plans, conditional use applications, and rezoning requests.

There is currently a vacancy on the Silver Spring Township Planning Commission.

Application for Appointment - Planning Commission

Meetings are generally scheduled for the first Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm and are held at the Township Administration Building, located at 8 Flowers Drive in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
