Emergency Management Agency

EMS4The Emergency Management Agency (EMA) is comprised of representatives from the Township's emergency service providers including the Silver Spring Ambulance & Rescue Association, New Kingstown Fire Company, and the Silver Spring Community Fire Company, as well as the Township's Administration, Building & Codes, Police, Planning & Zoning, and Public Works Departments. The agency was formed in 1982 to review development plans for public safety and to develop, upgrade, and aid in the the implementation of the Township's Emergency Operations Plan.

EMA's mission is to protect our community through the mitigation, preparation, response, and recovery from any type of disaster that may occur in the Township.

Application for Committee Appointment

Meetings are tentatively scheduled for the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM and are held at the Silver Spring Township Administration Building, located at 8 Flowers Drive, Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
