Things To Do
5K Jig-Jog Postponed
SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP
As you may know, the public health crisis has recently heightened, and Silver Spring Township is taking a position to help mitigate the pandemic. Yesterday, the Wolf Administration strongly encouraged the suspension of large gatherings, events, and conferences of 250 individuals or more. Given the number of spectators, staff, and participants, the role we play in helping to mitigate the unprecedented spread of the COVID-19 virus, we have made the very difficult decision to postpone the 5K Jig-Jog to a later date. At this time, we have not decided on a date for rescheduling, but will be providing updates on the Township website once more details have been confirmed. You can visit the Township website at www.sstwp.org.
Registration Refunds. For those that request a registration refund, Silver Spring Township will grant a full refund (minus processing fees). However, in light of the substantial financial hit to the event, we do ask that you consider taking a credit for the rescheduled race or convert your fee or a portion of it to a charitable, tax-deductible donation to help offset unrecoverable costs, which we are happy to provide a receipt. Because of the high number of participants, please have patience as we process refunds and receipts. For those of you that picked-up packets, if you plan to participate in the postponed race date, please go to the link below to let us know. We do ask that if you picked up your packet and are requesting a refund, please return your race bib. You may also pick-up your packet at the Township office if you do not wish to receive a refund or want to participate in the rescheduled race, 8 Flowers Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050.
We appreciate your patience as we work on a new date for this race. We know that this decision is very disappointing, and hope you understand that it is largely out of our control.
