Pavilions
If you are in need of assistance with your reservation, we’d be happy to help by phone or in-person at the Recreation Office, 8 Flowers Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. Reservations can be made online or by phone. Athletic field rental applications are handled in-house. Please contact the Parks & Rec Office to inquire. Hidden Creek Park
50 Millfording Road (next to sewer plant)
This 14-acre Community Park features 4 multi-purpose fields, a picnic pavilion with 6 picnic tables (6 feet long) with a single charcoal grill, handicap parking, creek access for paddling and fishing, a playground for children 2-12, and portable restrooms.
Pleasant View Park
90 Pleasant View Drive
This 12-acre Neighborhood Park features a paved walking trail that is roughly .54 miles, 2 basketball courts, 2 tennis courts, a playground for children 5-12, a softball field, multipurpose field, sand volleyball court, a pavilion with 12 picnic tables (8 feet long), a double charcoal grill, and electric. There are indoor restroom facilities and a water fountain which are open during peak season. handicap access is available.
Paul Walters Memorial Park
10 Elm Street
This 44-acre Community Park features 3 softball fields, 1 small practice softball field, and a small concession building. Plans for future development of 34 acres is in progress. The Township recently added a large age-segregated playground, parking, sidewalks, and landscaping.

Potteiger Park

This 7-acre Neighborhood Park features a paved walking trail that is roughly .37 miles, a playground for children 2-12, a t-ball field, a large open field to play, portable restrooms, handicap parking, a pavilion with 6 picnic tables (6 feet long) and a charcoal grill.
Stony Ridge Park
50 Bernheisel Bridge Road
This 103-acre Sports Complex is only 500 feet from the Appalachian Trail and offers various athletic fields, a playground for children 2-12, large open fields to play, indoor and portable restrooms. The indoor restrooms are only open during the peak season. There are two pavilions; a wooden pavilion with 8 picnic tables and a single charcoal grill, and a concession pavilion, with six 6 picnic tables and electric. Handicap access is available from the parking area.
Vincent DiFilippo Nature Preserve
110 Sample Bridge Road
This 54-acre Natural Resource Area features a 2-mile stone walking trail, with inner looping trails for shorter walks to and from the parking area. The trail winds through various meadows and wetlands, situated along the Conodoguinet Creek. Interpretive signs and benches are placed throughout. The site also offers access to the creek for paddling and fishing.
Veterans Memorial at Willow Mill Park
80 Willow Mill Park Road
Built in 2011, the Memorial stands in the upper corner of the hill at Willow Mill Park. Bricks or plaques can be purchased for those currently serving or who have served. You do not have to be a resident, nor does the person your honoring/remembering have to be a resident of Silver Spring Township.

Willow Mill Park & Historic Huston Mill
80 Willow Mill Park Road
This 18-acre Community Park features a pavilion along the creek with seating for 100+, a double charcoal grill, and electric. Handicap access is available right next to the pavilion. There are portable restroom facilities, access to the creek for paddling and fishing, a 9-hole disc golf course, the Historic Huston Mill (public access restricted),Veterans Memorial, a playground for children 2-5.
Appalachian Trail
Within 500 feet of Stony Ridge Park (see above)
Parking is available at Stony Ridge Park, 50 Bernheisel Bridge Road, Carlisle, PA 17013. During the regular season (generally March-November) and during park hours of sunrise to sunset, hikers can park inside the park to gain access to the trail. There are indoor restrooms and a water fountain for hikers to refill their water bottles.
