Effective November 30th: In concern for both community and staff safety, the Township will suspend in-person meetings for the foreseeable future. Our administrative office will be open for business and closed to visitors until further notice. Bins and a secure drop box are available at our front door for drop-off and pick-up Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 4 PM. Please note masks are required when on Township property. Resident and vendor meetings with staff will be conducted virtually or by phone.
For all transactions we accept check and credit card payments. Please note, there is a bank processing fee for credit card usage.
Notary services are temporarily suspended.
During this time of continued uncertainty, policies will continue to be evaluated and updated, as necessary. We are making every effort to continue to provide quality service to our community. We appreciate your cooperation.

Building and Codes
Due to COVID-19 and a Declaration of Emergency, certain temporary tent structures may be exempt from building permits and building inspections. Please contact the Building and Codes Department for more information. Exemption forms and all other building permit applications can be found here.

Silver Spring Tax Office
Closed to walk-in traffic. A drop box is available by the tax office door. On May 13, 2020, the Board approved Resolution 2020-15, extending the deadline for payment of property taxes through October 31, 2020, without penalty. This extension corresponds with the payment extension as approved by the Cumberland County Commissioners. For more information on tax collection and payments, visit the local tax page.
