Is my sewer bill based on the amount of water I use?

Yes, if you are a public water customer, you
are billed according to the amount of water that you use. The base rate of
$120.00 allows a residential allotment of 9,000 gallons of water each
quarter-year period to be used before any surcharges are applied. The surcharge
rate is $8.00 for each 1,000 gallons of water over the 9,000 gallon base
allotment in each quarter. Customers on private wells are charged a flat rate
of $158.00 per quarter.
